Job Description: Missouri Veterinary Dermatology Center (MVDC)
Wentzville, Missouri (St. Louis Metro Area)
The Missouri Veterinary Dermatology Center (MVDC) is the only dermatology-exclusive specialty practice in the St. Louis metro area and home to the region’s only two board-certified veterinary dermatologists. We are seeking a Board-Certified Veterinary Dermatologist (preferred) or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join our growing, referral-based private practice.
Practice Overview
- Privately owned, dermatologist-led specialty practice
- Two board-certified dermatologists and one current dermatology resident
- Large referral base drawing from Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, and surrounding states
- Strong teaching and mentorship culture with University of Missouri 3rd- and 4th-year student rotations
- Dermatologists hold adjunct faculty appointments with the University of Missouri
- Planned transition into a new, expanded facility to support continued growth
Facilities & Support
- Aesculight CO₂ laser
- Karl Storz Telecam, VetPump tower, and C-MAC video otoscopes in every exam room
- Cryopen and PHOVIA light therapy
- In-house immunotherapy compounding
- Cat-only exam rooms and lift tables
- Long-tenured, highly trained support team with low turnover
- Teaching microscope for resident and student education
Position Details
- Board-Certified (ACVD) preferred; residency-trained candidates encouraged
- Flexible scheduling; 4-day work week available based on role and experience
- No weekends, emergency, or on-call responsibilities
- Diverse referral caseload including allergy, otitis, immune-mediated disease, neoplasia, endocrine, and complex dermatology cases
- Mentorship and academic involvement available
