Research Foundation

The ACVD Research Foundation was started in 1995 as a means to fund research in veterinary dermatology. Each year, a committee within the ACVD evaluates and selects projects which will advance the field of veterinary dermatology. ACVD funded projects have led to new diagnostic procedures and treatments for veterinary skin diseases as well as recognition of new diseases.

The Research Foundation is funded by donations from veterinary pharmaceutical companies, individual veterinarians and pet owners. Veterinarians and owners may choose the Foundation as a way to honor a special pet. Donations made in the name of a pet are individually recognized and support the general research fund. The ACVD Research Foundation is a non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible.

If you would like to help sponsor research that will help identify and treat skin disease in animals, please click the link below to make a donation that will help further research in veterinary dermatology. A letter commending and identifying you as a sponsor will also be forwarded in response to all donations.

For those interested in applying for a grant to conduct basic or clinical research in veterinary dermatology, please see the links below.
