Veterinary Dermatologist

Job Description:
Do you want to practice veterinary dermatology in your speedo or bikini?

Then don’t bother reading further.

But if you are interested in practicing in a positive, nurturing, non-corporate environment with amazing technical support and a great work-life balance, then read on.

Pet Allergy & Dermatology Specialists/Lehigh Valley Veterinary Dermatology is seeking a full or part-time board certified (or board eligible) veterinary dermatologist. PADS/LVVD is a referral dermatology practice located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Sure, maybe we don’t have sunny beaches like Malibu, but Allentown is ranked by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America in the top 50 most challenging cities to live with spring allergies (#cha-ching). The Lehigh Valley offers a ton of outdoor activities and is one hour north of Philadelphia, less than 1 hour south of the Poconos, and 90 minutes west of NYC.

We have all the fancy dermatology bells and whistles including microscope slides, glass cover slips, cotton tip applicators, and video-otoscopy. We offer our very own in-house salivary food allergy panel (Spit-tastic™, also available on Groupon™) that will yield false positives beyond your wildest dreams. On a serious note, we do have an Aesculight CO2 surgical laser, cryosurgery, and a pollen collector for accurate pollen counts. We have a residency training program where you can help train future veterinary dermatologists. We offer full medical benefits, 401k, time off for boards, and open access to our greenhouse where we have a fish hospital and grow wacky tobacky.
