Job Description
The Senior Professional Services Veterinarian- Dermatology Specialist will function to support the commercial, medical, and business needs of the companion animal business unit as it relates to dermatological solutions and innovations involving our company’s Animal Health portfolio. This individual will interact with companion animal teams, key industry opinion leaders, allied organizational partners, and our customer base to achieve the goals of the companion animal business unit of our company’s Animal Health by partnering with the veterinary profession. The position is strategic, collaborative, operational, and visionary in the scope of the activities.
Essential Accountabilities:
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizes specialist knowledge and experience in dermatology to serve as the company’s subject matter expert (SME) in companion animal dermatology, including:
- Traditional dermatology therapeutics and parasiticides as they relate to dermatological disorders
- Inform on, predict trends, and provide solutions to changes impacting the veterinary industry and business as pertains to the dermatology market
- Veterinary technical expertise and medical solutions for the dermatological market
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic goals and initiatives as they relate to our company’s Animal Health dermatological solutions
- Partner with our customers, including specialists, general practitioners, and veterinary healthcare teams to provide our company’s Animal Health solutions, including addressing business, medical, and supporting needs as related to dermatology
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders of diverse expertise and backgrounds, and assist medical affairs in developing and guiding advisory boards
- Represent our company’s Animal Health as a scientific speaker and veterinary professional expert at regional and national meetings by communicating key scientific and veterinary business topics
- Partner with allied industry associations to support animal-health related topics and advance the veterinary profession; expand strategic partnerships and initiatives with allied industry stakeholders
- Assist medical affairs on the development and delivery of engaging training on dermatology topics to employee technical teams and assist training and development in training of non-technical employees in our company’s Animal Health dermatological solutions as needed
- Collaborate across departments, including marketing, research and development, business development, and sales as the SME in dermatology to help manage projects and identify key opportunities as they relate to dermatology and our company’s Animal Health portfolio
- Assist medical affairs as the SME in dermatology to collaborate and consult on research projects, including market support studies, clinical trials, grant programs, and pre-clinical development of products
Scope and Context:
- This position is strategic, visionary, networked, and cross-functional. The role will help to set the strategy for the existing company’s Animal Health portfolio, as well as to guide the future of our company’s Animal Health’s partnership with the veterinary profession. Collaboration within the VIMA team, across internal departments, and with external stakeholders is key.

Minimum Qualifications:
Background & Education:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
- Board Certification in relevant field (DACVD)
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine within the United States

- 5 years relevant work experience includes any of the following- clinical practice experience necessary:
- Private practice
- Specialty practice

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$135,500.00 – $213,400.00
